How can I achieve the best rest?

Theories around how to achieve the ideal sleep are abundant and varied. Some researchers of the topic, like the renowned Doctor Eduard Estivill, are of the opinion that bad bedtime habits are acquired in infancy.

In his book “Duérmete niño” (Sleep, baby) he elaborates his method for combating sleep problems in children, and work at his Sleep Clinic (http://www.doctorestivill.es), is focused on the development of techniques for the achievement of the desired sleep.

On the other hand, and with regard to what is the best way to sleep, the majority of sleep therapies recommend sleeping face up as the healthiest posture for the neck and spinal column. But the reality is that each person has his or her sleep position. Therefore, what´s important is not advocating one concrete position, since the movement of the head on the pillow is random, but rather what counts is the material of the pillow. The size and height of the pillow are also influencing factors, depending on the makeup of each person. The optimum height (the final width of the pillow with the head supported) is between 7 and 12 cm.

However, here at charcolive we also want to contribute our little two cents worth, or rather, our little carbonized olive pits worth, and for this reason we design and manufacture our pillows, with the aim of promoting this refreshing sleep. All of our products are made so that the carbonized olive pits exercise pressure on the different points of the head, activating them as if giving a therapeutic massage, soothing different types of pain. After all, it is the pillow upon which the head rests.

What kind of pillow do you use?
